I'm glad to be getting connected with so many other folks dedicated to studying, spreading, and developing the heritage of nonviolence we've received from those who came before.
My main work these days with
On Earth Peace, a church-based nonprofit providing ministries of EDUCATION, RECONCILIATION, and ORGANIZING.
Kingian Nonviolence is a part of our AGAPE-SATYAGRAHA Leadership Training in Conflict Resolution and Social Change, a one-on-one youth mentoring initiative that's now in its pilot phase. Here are some of the youth from the pilot site in Harrisburg, PA:

The Kingian perspective is also a strong foundation for our organizing initiatives, including the International Day of Prayer for Peace.
In this annual campaign building up to September 21, we invite folks to do listening initiatives as a way to build relationship and find out what's happening in their community, before coming together for a public prayer event on Sept 21. The intention is that through this process people get a taste of the nonviolent approach - and want more!

We follow up by providing more in-depth training, including "You Can't Stop the River: Community Change for Congregations," a four-day training incorporating Kingian principles and steps along with prayer and practice.
Our interest overall is working with individuals and congregations across the long haul as they develop the skills and spirituality to face violence with active nonviolence.
I look forward to meeting you - hearing what's going on where you are - and being on this journey together.
