I'm the Outreach Coordinator for Show Me the Way -- a new documentary film "exploring the impact Mentors have on a young person's life".
The DVD will be available in mid-June and is going to be given away for free (optional small donation of $2-$...
YPA/CB youth campaign supports an alternative to punishment, putting kids in jail, and unfair laws. We must act now. Our young people are in need of help and we must get involved now with support legislation like the Youth PROMISE Act and Casey Bill.

Bill seeks change of pace in juvenile justice system
"There'll be a load lifted off prisons," Rep. Alice Bordsen, D-Alamance said. She added that if [the children] don't go to prison and don't have a criminal record, their economic prospects will be better. That will make them productive citizens with better paying jobs, and they'll be paying taxes."

Show Me the Way Documentary -- Mentoring
I'm the Outreach Coordinator for Show Me the Way -- a new documentary film "exploring the impact Mentors have on a young person's life".

The Gathering’s Mission
The mission of The Gathering is to build an Intergenerational, movement, rooted in history, cultures and non-violent direct action to heal communities, build collective strength and generate an environment of hope and opportunity.
Civil rights and social justice organizations have come to understand that collective action on a national basis is required to stop child incarceration and challenge the immoral process which perpetuates an unjust justice system. These groups are working under extremely difficult circumstances and many of them with little or no resources. The Gathering is a national movement that creates a coordinated space to 1) fortify relationships between regional groups, 2) support local endeavors and 3) enhance the ongoing organizing of non-violent direct action training. Central to its mission is strengthening our moral environment.
